Putting a brave face on things at the White Swan!
The weather (for a change) was kind as people across Henley-in-Arden threw themselves into the spirit of the recent VE Day commemoration.
The good folk of Henley showed their community spirit across the town during the celebrations – social distancing notwithstanding.

Maria and Nigel from the White Swan entered into the spirit of things with their usual gusto, handing out snacks and – to provide a real air of authenticity – presenting mugs of Ovaltine to delighted passers-by. And as ever, they really looked the part in their particularly snappy wartime outfits.
The whole things was of course tinged with the considerable sadness caused by the current lockdown. Once gain, they expressed their heartfelt wished to see all their wonderful friends and customers again in the very near future.

A real hope that “we’ll meet again” of course…
“Just had amazing morning giving out complimentary nibbles and Ovaltine to commemorate VE Day… we miss all our customers and staff…. well meet again very soon!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️love you all have an amazing afternoon.
See you soon stay safe 💕💕💕💕”
